my partner's progress is slow and hard won. sometimes one step forward and two back. Phys therapy (ongoing) and activity (such as going out shopping, to dinner, visiting friends, hair salon) all take their toll and require additional rest the next day. Also there is swelling and nightly ice packs to the foot due to additional nerve damage and neuropathy. The bad knee on the other leg is suffering more since it is used more for support. i continue with all housework and chores at both houses.
The heatwave in the northeast prompted less clothing indoors and she noticed that my body was entirely shaved smooth (all i had on was some very short shorts.) reena apologizes to all and any who have sent messages in the recent months. Finally getting some small bits of time to participate and live as reena again.
The situation is finally improving but there is still along way to go for full recovery. my partner is making progress, therapy is progressing, but there are still severe physical limitations and pain. Ice packs to reduce swelling are almost a nightly ritual. mobility is limited but with a cane my partner gets around a bit and is now driving again.
Like what else could happen?? 15 colleagues got laid off at work about 2 months ago and this has created reassignments and additional work loads.
On top of that i am starting a clean out and renovation of one of our homes (we have two) with the plan to sell in a few years...no easy chore... very time consuming.

Begging the forgiveness of allGoddesses and Mistresses. reena has not been on this beloved and revered site for months.
The situation has worsened. In February my partner was hospitalized for orthopedic surgery. There were and still are complications that may require additional surgery. These complications prevent getting around except with difficulty using a walker. Many simple tasks have become impossible.
reena has been dedicating most time to assistance and care during this slow and painful recovery process involving home therapy and exercise and doctor visits.
All of the household tasks have now fallen upon reena (as it should be) and free time is almost non-existant.
reena sincerely apologizes for not responding to emails. Even now i am squeezing and sneaking some time while at work (which is busier than ever.) Please forgive reena. reena beseeches your patience and understanding. she longs to be more active, answer email, and post more pictures.

A family member was hospitalized last Sept; is not fully recovered and still suffer the effects. We had to go the the emergency room just yesterday.
This has been coupled with layoffs at work, extra assignments, responsibilities and territory coverage and an intense revenue drive for the last quarter.
